read the error message carefully..
its not that manipal.edu is being blocked, rather it says 'WebBlocker not available' which means that the filtering software is currently overloaded, not that the site is being blocked
if it was being blocked, then a valid reason would apper there..
nywyz, so now it is clear that they do not have a good blocking software or a server thats not having a good crowd handlng power, so in either of the ways, they are aweful !!
well yeah you are correct about that
net was working fine until the 1st yrs got their laptops, after that ION wasn't able to handle the extra load on the network, hence the overloading of the authentication and filtering servers. you will notice it at the beginning of your 2nd year-- net will work good till the 1st yrs get their laptops, then a sudden drop in quality..
anyways, it will get better in the even sem also , as many of the 4th years wouldn't be here.
